Well, we were racking our brains one night...ALLLL NIGHT.... and asked a few people, and nothing. BUT like 3 days after we finally came up with something we loved...it sounds a little "hippie" but it isn't really intended that way. We just though it sounded cute....besides who doesn't like peace and love?!? Anyways, so sorry Lori, but by the time we got your suggestion, we already "registered" the name we have. BUT thank you so much for the cute idea, we really did have a hard time finding a cute catchy name, and I think Shabby Sacks is sooo cute, and very appropriate!

Well, so our new name is......................................................

Opening shop

Good Morning EVERYONE!!! Us Knot Sew Shabby girls are thinking about opening another etsy shop....(since Knot Sew Shabby pretty much turned into a baby/kids type shop.) AND because it will not be just sewing stuff, like Knot Sew Sabby! If anyone has any SUGGESTIONS for a NAME, let us know. We are pretty stumped.(oh and we may like your name, but not choose it if someone else on etsy has it.)

Since we have had a lot of people ask if we could do "Crayon Bags" but for adults, here is what we are thinking...........

a list taker holder type thing/daily planner

and we miss doing purses and LOVE doing appliques, so here are a few of those. (these are Becky's designs.) I didn't get any pics of mine or Leann's because we don't have them finished/close to finished.

We have done 2 boutiques in the past and today our first swap meet. In all honesty, we didn't do soo well at any of them. BUT it gets us to build up our inventory and our etsy takes off and does awesome each time.

So from now on, for quite some time, we are not going to do any more boutiques or swap meets and just keep up with etsy. We have been doing pretty good with etsy, especially with getting SLAMMED around Christmas.

We all are still sewing and enjoying it so much. We keep trying to come up with new stuff, because we will get sick of crayon bags, and so we will rotate to the busy book. Get tired of that, and rotate to Tag-Along-Tales.

So yeah, we are still keeping busy and will try to keep you updated. We will be having another give-a-way sometime in the near future, hopefully with better luck than our "Christmas" one.

We also will be having offers and savings on here!

Wow, I am just so amazed and shocked. We have sold almost 70 crayon bags total! I can not believe it. When we first started figuring out the pattern and making it up as we went, and then put them on etsy, we didn't think they would be anything huge. They took almost a month to start "taking off." Then out of nowhere they just would sell by two's. Etsy so is so much fun and so addicting!

We at first were doing stuff everybody else was making and selling, and didn't do very good at all. Now that we have our own unique design that no one else has, it is just crazy!

We have our next show coming up soon, and then I think after that show we are going to do a fun Christmas give-a-way! So stay tuned for that!

Have a wonderful week everyone! I am so excited for Thanksgiving. All our family will be here! They are all going to come into town and we are going to have so much fun catching up and seeing how fast the nieces and nephews have grown!

Hello everyone! I am so HAPPY it is the weekend! Yay!

We have been working on trying to do some updating a lot on some of the items and to complete a little project we have been wanting to do for sometime!

First, we have designed little QUIET BOOKS that are perfect for church and home, or ANY time you need to entertain your little one and it needs to be quiet! It is a book that you can add extra pages to or switch out pages as your child gets bored of the same ones. We will sell the book with 4 pages, something on the front and back, and then we will sell extra pages seperately, something on the front and back. Check out etsy (www.KnotSewShabby.etsy.com) to see what special things are on each page and what they do!!!

Next, we have received a suggestion to make our On The Go ACTIVITY BAG with trendier fabrics. Right now Becky is working on a few to add on etsy that are not so much "kid" fabric. We also have decided to raise the prices on them...

Last, but NOT least, we have decided to try out BABY'S FIRST OUTFIT, because you know that the first month ALL the clothes you buy in the store just DO NOT fit. Also, you want that first photo from the hospital that you send out to your family and friends to just be PERFECT and your precious one to look so cute in an outfit that isn't 2 sizes too big! Am I right?

So far we only have one made and hope to get more made soon. We are thinking of doing some of them kind of alike, so if you have twin boy and girl, they could have cute matching twin outfits!

We have some EXTREMELY exciting news. This has been one of the best weeks EVER(for our etsy shop/eBay, atleast!)
This weekend alone, we have sold 5 shopping cart seat covers.
To top it off, we have also sold 3 baby boy blessing outfits this week
and we also have sold 2 Raggedy Anne pacifier clips
and also 2 sets of burprags!

Thank you to everyone for passing on the word and for those who have made purchases!

Well, we have new things up!
(Cute Shopping Cart Seat cover Becky made!!!)

We also had some more sales, YAY! That is always good. Probably all thanks to the spotlight from Chicy Creations!(Check out her blog, she also is thinking of doing random give-a-ways!) Thanks a BUNCH Amy(and Laura for letting us know about her!) You both are AWESOME!! We also have some very nice and awesome customers! I wasn't sure about etsy and how people would react, and if they would be nice, like the stuff, or what. BUT our customers so far have been so great to work with and very fast with payments and very nice and supportive!! Thank you!

Well, other news, Etsy has taken over our lives. It is so addicting! Always trying to come up with new, fun things, although it seems like our mom comes up with all the ideas that are selling! I think everyday she "quits" etsy, and then a few hours later, is coming up with more ideas and making more things, lol. She does such an awesome job and we love her quality work she puts into the blessing gowns and outfits! She is awesome! Maybe someday we can be awesome at sewing like her!

Well, take a look at our etsy, we added some new things! Leann has been taking a break from beanies and working on Scrabble and Rummikub Necklace pendants.

Here are the Pacifier clips! I bought the stuff, told my mom an idea, and when I woke up the next morning, my mom made that idea way better, and had these cute ones made(and in 3D)

Then Becky had a good idea to add cards and embellishments, and kind of incorporate our scrapbooking into etsy...and here is some of what we have so far.....

First, I think Knot Sew Shabby will be a spotlight this Friday for Chicy Creations

So, check out her blog, even her SUPER cute items for sale! (Every Friday she has a spotlight, so check hers every week to see who is on there!!)

If you have any small contest ideas for our give-a-ways, let us know them!! All ideas are welcome!! We already have the idea "draw a name of people who purchased something in a certain time frame" and "just leave a comment, and we will choose randomly" and also "use a certain item, and see what you can make with it, and we will choose the most creative".... so yeah....

Here is another waste not, if you like the idea, but have a theme in your kitchen you want, either send us a pic, or let us know your colors/theme and we will see what we can do!!
